‘De De Pyaar De 2’ Holds Strong at Box Office; Day 10 Collection Surges Past ₹60 Crore

Ajay Devgn’s latest release, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, continues its impressive theatrical run as the film crosses the ₹60-crore mark by the end of Day 10, outperforming new entrants like ‘120 Bahadur’ and ‘Masti 4’. The rom-com drama, also starring Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan, has maintained steady footfall across major cities, benefiting from strong word-of-mouth and family audiences returning over the second weekend.

Trade analysts report that the film’s weekday collections remained stable, showing minimal drop from its opening week. Multiplex circuits in metro markets contributed significantly, while Tier-2 cities also registered healthy occupancy, especially during evening shows. The chemistry between the lead trio and the film’s blend of humour and emotional drama have been highlighted as key factors driving repeat viewership.

In contrast, newer releases ‘120 Bahadur’ and ‘Masti 4’ struggled to gain momentum, with both films receiving mixed reviews and failing to draw sizeable audiences. Their underwhelming performance has further strengthened ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ as the dominant choice for moviegoers.

With the upcoming weekend expected to boost collections again, the film is now eyeing the ₹75-crore milestone, positioning itself as one of the more consistent performers of the season.
