Gujarat is preparing for another major leap in its digital and innovation journey with plans underway to develop a dedicated IT–AI City near GIFT City, the state’s flagship global financial hub. The proposed development is expected to strengthen Gujarat’s position as a technology-driven economy while complementing GIFT City’s role as an international financial and services centre.
According to government and industry sources, the upcoming IT–AI City will be strategically located close to GIFT City to create a tightly integrated ecosystem that brings together finance, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation-led enterprises. The vision is to build a future-ready urban hub that attracts global IT companies, AI startups, research institutions, and data-driven businesses.
The proposed city is expected to focus heavily on artificial intelligence, machine learning, fintech, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and advanced analytics. Officials believe proximity to GIFT City will offer a natural advantage, allowing tech firms to work closely with international banks, financial institutions, and multinational corporations already operating in the financial district.
