For the first time in the event’s history, the civic authorities have approved a full-scale pyro show, promising visitors an unforgettable visual experience that blends art, technology, and celebration.
Scheduled to run across all seven days of the carnival, the pyro show will be staged near the Kankaria Lakefront’s open arena, chosen for its broad visibility and safety parameters. Officials revealed that this year’s theme revolves around “Unity in Diversity,” and the pyro display is being designed to narrate India’s cultural richness through synchronized fireworks, laser projections, and choreographed light effects.
Sources close to the project say that the pyro show will incorporate eco-friendly fireworks, aiming to reduce smoke and noise while still delivering a dramatic visual spectacle. Special flame-resistant barges have been arranged on the lake to ensure maximum safety, while an international team of pyro artists has been brought in for technical supervision and creative direction.
Visitors can expect a mix of high-altitude fireworks, water-reflective flame effects, LED drones, and musical synchronization, an ambitious combination rarely seen in public events in India. City officials believe this addition will elevate Kankaria Carnival’s stature and potentially draw record-breaking footfall this year.
