Huawei Unveils MatePad Edge and MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition

Chinese tech major Huawei has launched two high-end devices, Huawei MatePad Edge and Huawei MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition, marking a bold push into 2-in-1 tablets and foldable PCs.

MatePad Edge, a 14.2-inch flexible OLED tablet, emerges as a full-fledged 2-in-1 device running on HarmonyOS. It packs up to 32 GB RAM with PC-grade performance, supports a stylus, and includes a detachable keyboard. Its big, bright screen (3.1 K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, ~1000 nits brightness) and optional “liquid-cooling” variant aim to offer laptop-level productivity while preserving tablet mobility.

Meanwhile, the MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition pushes the envelope for foldable computing. As a foldable PC with a flexible OLED panel, it delivers a large-format display and convertible form factor, ideal for users seeking portability without sacrificing screen real estate.

Together, these releases show Huawei doubling down on HarmonyOS and flexible-form-factor devices, blurring the lines between tablets, laptops, and foldable PCs. From mobile-style convenience to desktop-class performance, the Edge and Fold aim to offer maximum flexibility for creators, professionals, and power users.
